We have had FIOS Internet for about 18 months.(Southern CA) Fast as H*** (15d/5u) and for the most part very reliable. We have had some issues around OEM router firmware updates that resulted in repeated wireless outages but they were eventually fixed.

When the service was new, customer assistance was answered by a human on two rings. Now they're in Comcast or AT&T league with voice mail hell and long waits.
We recently had the OEM router buy the farm. Called Verizon and was told "your on your own". "Go to Besy Buy and get a DLINK model XXX". Too bad that model was discontinued a year ago. Three calls later, we are back in gear with no help from them. While he service has declined, we wouldn't think of having anything else. FIOS is crack baby. If you can get it, your crazy not to have it.
What the hell is a Slingbox??
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
