The Devil is always in the details, I have been reserving my Judgement about the Android OS until now. The Droid OS limitation has been exposed. And this will be its death kneel until it is resolved. The 512mb rom is limited to 256mb for app storage. Let me repeat that for laymans, you only can install 256mb worth of apps! The 16gig micro sd does not and will not suport app storage. Oh boy, Google we have a problem! http://androidandme.com/2009/10/news/google-fails-to-address-app-storage-issue-with-droid-and-android-2-0/

The Jury is still out on Big Red and Android. Since no one has actually had a chance to test the Eris (Villan) vs the Sprint Hero, dont be suprised if it has only one nut enabled compared to the Sprints full package enabled.
No Arm processor runs at its default clock for efficiency reasons. The venerable Palm Pre and Idont 3gs are running at less than 500mhz although there are very capable of running at 600mhz. In a desktop, you may want to ry an eke out all available clocks but in a consumer mobile device this is not the case.

G1 owners, if you want to test drive the Moto Blur functionality on your G1, there is a rom/port available now for download.

You Guys and Gals are what most people call "early adopters" and this is simply part of the deal. Not only are you now the proud owners of a very top flight handset, you are also "unofficial beta testers" for people like me who may purchase this phone later down the road with Donut 1.6 & Rev A a few weeks or even a month from now. Congrats to you all, now stop bitching and get to testing:)
Is it just me or is Microsoft is "a Day late and a Dollar short" in mobile OS game.
Now that WinMo 6.5 has been tried and trued by the so called mobile phone experts of the World, we now know that all the hoopla about weather or not WinMo 6.1 could be upgraded to WinMo 6.5 was a farce. No wonder ATT and Verizon including Motorola never jumped in to say that upgrading would not be a problem. They all knew what we all now know and that is WinMo 6.5 is simply "Lipstick on a stale 2 year old Pig." A freakin stylus, a passive one at that in 2K10 is not only a joke in the iPhone age its an outrage. Because we all know that not once will we ever see that stylus being used in a marketing commercial. WinMo = fail
Wow!! If this development does'nt pee or shat:) on Moto's upcoming Cliqs welcome parade, I dont know what will. Welcome to the brave new World of Open Source Operating Systems and Roms tweeps..
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
