CBS is far and away the best. It can be a little too sharp on the far camera, but overall it's awesome. I like NBC, but there's way too much pixelation going on. Hopefully that'll be removed next season. ESPN HD looks good, but that ticker is gross, I'd say they're tied with NBC.

I mainly watch Fox (Eagles fan) and think that the quality varies. It's not as clean as CBS, but the production is better. I also prefer CBS audio. I hope Fox wises up and goes 1080i next season, there's an obvious difference. My biggest knock against Fox is that their ticker takes up way too much space. What's up with the grill ontop of the ticker.

So, for my money:
CBS
Fox
NBC
ESPN
Lou
Carla (aka Judy) broke her hip earlier this year. I'm guessing the scenes where she's sitting down were filmed earlier in the year and the dancing numbers, obviously, later.
Ok. Not only are you a dork, but you're kinda dumb. Every item you listed was hardware based. Every item I listed was software (media, format) based.

My point being that Sony has yet to release a winning FORMAT!

Come on man. Think before you type.
Zombie-
You're a giant dork.
I wasn't trying to stir the pot or upset you, you're a fanboy, I should have known how easily you cry.

LOTR is already on amazon.com, I was going on that. I wasn't lying or swaying opinion.

Don't worry, I'm sure Blu-Ray will succeed, look at Sony's track record: BetaMax, MiniDisc, UMD, they can't all be failures, right?
I wonder if there are any figures out there telling which percentage of PS3 owners have an HDTV. If the numbers are low, then that doesn't really help the BRD camp at all.

You can be sure everyone who purchases the add-on has an HDTV and will be utilizing it to its fullest extent.

I'm getting an add-on next week and am absolutely thrilled.

BTW, the killer "app" is LOTR and it hits HD-DVD in the spring. Is that enough to end this war?
RE: Star Wars HD on Cinemax VOD-
Only Episode 2 was cropped. All other films were OAR. Check it!
I'm out! This price point sucks. My predicition is that by next spring you'll be able to purchase a stand-alone HD-DVD player for about 250 with plenty of more bells and whistles.
Is it better than the demo, because that flat out sucked. The controls were horrible, the graphics were choppy and the overall feel just blew.
Every year this same stupid argument comes about. Who cares? Honestly, it's 50-60 bucks one time a year. That's what a tank of gas costs. Is that really so much to part with for someone who enjoys the game? I don't what game that rest of you have been playing, but in my opinion, the game changes every year. Maybe the changes are earth shattering, but it's updated, it's got the new players and it's exciting. I hate all these people who crucify EA for releasing a fu(king football game. Get over it.
Is it possible it will support DTS being that the 360 (sadly) doesn't?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
