It's called powered speakers....
That's not that bad. I have customers that would spend $2000 to get wireless surround sound in rooms that are already built and impossible to wire. No new construction job would have a need. So you have to find those customers that have a lot of money and aren't building a new house......are there any?
to Fuze or not to Fuze...that is the question
Yea, with their external USB Cable CARD Tuner. Internal Cable CARD Tuners require Microsoft licensing and are reserved for OEM HTPC builders.
I think i would be a good idea to go that route into the custom integration market. I work in the custom home theater house automation field. VUDU is already working with some control systems with IP control. NO RS 232, NO RF, NO IR. Integrating multiple VUDU boxes and a matrix switch is the ultimate solution for movie distribution cost-wise compared to a Kaleidescape. I know that they are different, renting/buying movies vs. ripping movies you own. But as everyone is seeing more and more online music services are becoming the popular norm. All music distribution systems now incorporate some sort of music service like sirus, xm, rhapsody, pandora... It is just a matter of time before this happens in movies.
Also to those complaining about the fan noise on the 360s.....cough up the extra cash and get the xbox 360 elite. the newer ones are a light quieter..
If you want consistent, high performance, reliability and the overall best media center extender stay with the 360. I work in the custom home theater/house automation market and we have dealt with the poor reliability and overall performance of both the Linksys and Dlink extenders. Jobs have started with 7 plus Linksys extenders have now all been swapped out for 360s.
ohohoh mememe
Comcast screws with my torrent downloads. I have to use utorrent and encrypt my data to get decent down speeds. Upload speeds are almost non existent. They barely break 10k.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
