AFAIK Sharp's first set of models ,the 32 and 37 GP1U IIRC, weren't anything special besides the 1080p(which only made a difference on the 37 if close enough). So it is probably safe to pass on these as well. The "vyper mode" on these sets isn't the 120hz standard. Like most, it only lowers the lag due to processing, but only minimally iirc. As a result, I skipped on buying the eariler models and I plan to do the same with this one :)
