then i guess the manufacturers better keep prices heading in the right direction for full featured players (which they have been) figure out a way mom and pop will not have to do firmware updates just so they can watch new titles and the studios should quite gouging for the titles.... price it right and they will come.... i did finally get bd drive for my htpc but i have absolutely no interest in paying the extra money have yet to buy a bluray in the 4 or 5 months i've had the ability just rent the few titles that were worth the hd difference i do have around 40 hd-dvd's but only cause i got them and silly low prices and no i don't expect bd's to be that cheap. and yes i know scour the internet and you'll find them cheaper but main stream consumers spend most there time at walmart and when they see $30 plus for a movie they are not going to bite.
dang you guys must be mind readers i've been searching the internet all morning trying to come up with the best way to do this, thanks!
intel e8500
radeon hd 4650
2x1.5t seagate hd's stripe raided
gigabyte ep45 motherboard
4 gig ram
2xhauppauge ??? 150 tuner cards (sd only, 1 hooked to cable box)
sb audigy2 zs gamer
think that's all the important stuff anyhow, thanks
i have a htpc running win 7 rc on it at the moment hooked to a 37" lcd i've tried playing netflix from there website and using there desktop program and it looks like crap same as hulu. picture is fairly clear but all the motion stutters really bad, any ideas on why? it's absolutely unwatchable. internet is 8mbps cable, thanks
that's kinda what i was thinking about to get a bd drive for my htpc but still if the format is that great then why not let it do it's thing and people will come around when they can afford/want to.
dam i would actually consider it for the streaming ability's if it wasn't so farkin expensive can build a lowend htpc for streaming with bd drive for that much
i still need a hdmi switch tv only has 2

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
