Try several times for the update to kick instead of the player saying "already updated". Eventually, it started the update.
Still no update. Couldn't the announcement have waited.
Hopefully this means Sony's BDP-N460 streaming Blu-ray player will get it too around the same time. Currently it is only listed as "Coming Fall 2009" on the player.
The special edition DVD add the same audience track as well.
I have a launch PS3 60GB (120GB now) that a watch Blu-ray on but I'm still in the market for a stand-alone. I'm looking seriously at the up coming Oppo Digital BDP-83 Blu-ray player.
The one a gave my nephew for his birthday in 2006 finally gave up the ghost. I've gone through 5 myself.
For ALL next, next gen consoles please!!!

More RAM memory!

4GB main memory minimum at least. Blu-ray sucks with system memory bottlenecks.

Note to designers: develop fast memory at low cost so the next, next generation is limited by losing memory to keep the cost of the console down.
So true. My PS3 wants!

120GB isn't getting it anymore, especially with 4GB game installs and large PSN game downloads.
Sony STR-DG920: my 'tax stimulus' check has just been earmarked.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
