Obviously, it's not going to have a pretty aluminum case anymore. They're switching to plastic, which they think people will see as less durable. Personally, I think the plastic is probably more durable, but definitely less attractive.
The only reason I didn't buy one of these is that stinky Via CPU. If it used a faster CPU, I would already have one. Instead, I have an Eee 900. Sure, make it cheaper without the aluminum, but put a decent CPU in it this time around and you'll sell a lot more Mr. HP.
Faster CPU / Graphics

Anyone know if somebody has hacked this to put an Isaiah in it yet? It is supposed to be pin-compatible, but do the drivers and bios support it?

Also, I've heard you can't video chat using Skype because the CPU sucks so bad. Does this change if you use XP Pro?
I own both an upscaling DVD player (Panasonic) and a Toshiba HD A35. I can tell you for certain that the upscaled DVD picture quality coming out of the Toshiba HD unit is far superior to the upscaling Panasonic DVD player. Both were connected to Sony 52" LCD. Both played the same source DVDs. In fact, I was surprised there was such a big difference in the quality.
Quick correction - I meant Direct TV, not Dish. *sigh* so annoyed by Cox atm that I'm mis-speaking.
Yes, the new channels went live with a HUGE catch. I'm one of the few who watch ONLY the HD channels (minus movie channels). So as a result, I don't pay for extended basic cable. I pay for digital + HD figuring that's really all I want is HD. Well, I used to get Discovery HD Theatre and now I get Discovery Destination in its place. Plus, I don't get most of the newly added HD channels, including Discovery HD Theatre. It appears that Cox pulled a fast one on us long-time HD subscribers. Those new channels pop up a dialog telling me to contact Cox to purchase them. I'm assuming this means they want me to buy extended basic in order to get these few new "extended(?!)" HD stations. To me this is just wrong considering how far behind Cox has always been on HD content. I've patiently waited for the long-promised HD content to show up on Cox and when it does they bend me over to get it. I'm strongly considering switching to Dish as a result. From what I see, when you buy HD on Dish, you get a lot more HD channels (even if some of the HD they provide is only pseudo-HD).
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
