Been going to the greenwich show for a few years now, by far my favorite show.

jobs for president
Of course this isn't a way to get out of your cellular service contract. The price and terms of the protection plan are governed by a separate agreement with an insurance company (Asurion_ and a service contract for the equipment that is provided by Sprint. Perhaps this change would allow you to cancel the service contract (aka protection plan) and the insurance but there is no set term for either of those services and can be canceled at either time without any penalty.

So basically, if you don't like the price increase you can remove those OPTIONS from your account.

bad move...

AT&T = ma bell, old school, analog phone
Cingular = edgy, new school, iPhone

AT&T is kinda like eatin oat bran, Cingular is like eatin Cap'n Crunch with Crunch Berries. They both get the job done, but one is just cooler.

Yeah, EDGE is so much faster than EVDO. If you're one of the 4 people who live in an HSPDA area it would be as fast but like I said... it only covers like 4 or 5 people.
Cingular has a terrible data network compared to Sprint and Verizon. If Apple releases it on Congular's network I think we'd be missing a lot of features like OTA music downloads, iChat Video, and really anything else that requires a fast data connection.
My Treo 700wx disagrees with your last statement...
Cingular HSPDA has hardly launched, it's a fraction of the size of Sprint's EVDO network. In Connecticut I've been enjoying Sprint's (and Verizon's) EVDO speeds for over a year now. Lucky for us Cingular plans on launching HSPDA early January.
I'm sure one of the reasons Sprint chose to compare it to Cingular's EDGE is because that's what 9 out of 10 people would be able to get if they went to the local Cingular store.
"slim-by-Sprint-Nextel-standards"

You mean the same Sprint Nextel that just released the thinnest phone in the country? http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2006/11/23/samsung-m610-now-available-from-sprint/
You should really read your own website to keep abreast of the latest news.
I have DirecTV HD and I use ATSC for HD locals.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
