@cmsb55: My wife reminds me monthly...
The problem is that the 605 and the 705 are ~$400 and then you have to pay for the $100 map card on top of it all. I've spoken with some people that have the 605 or 705 and they say that the map card sucks.
I've had the Edge 205 for years and have been wanting to upgrade to a 605, but I may just buy this one instead.

BTW... Absolutely love the 205. Best bike accessory I've ever bought.
Turns out you're right - gotta change it to 48khz, which is unfortunate seeing as my entire collection is CD ripped so it'll start having audio aliasing issues. Oh well...
Wait... Just updated to 3.00 and now I can't hop back to the XMB while music is playing. Used to be able to do this by pressing the PS button, but now it acts just like when playing a DVD.

This is actually kind of a 3.00 deal-breaker for me...
I'm still unclear as to what a "one-year limited lifetime warranty" is...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
