Anyone know if this phone will require a data plan?
Ah, just in time for Ohio State's annual end-of-season collapse.
I had been a directv customer for 3 years and recently bought a new townhouse. It only had one wire going into the house but I needed 6 for all my HD DVRs. I couldn't do anything so unfortunately I moved onto Comcast. Hopefully directv starts including this in installs soon...I want to have directv again by NFL season.
Is there a way to find out which games will be in HD on MLB Extra Innings? Their ad says up to 40 games a week in HD, but I can't find a list. I'm curious about Red Sox in particular.
I would expect low sales for both models. The street price for an Onkyo 605 is $399, which gets you built-in decoders for all the new audio codecs. Why would you pay roughly the same price for one of these?
Just curious- how do they transfer these old movies to HD? I thought that the source must be recorded by an HD camera for it to be HD? How does the HD quality of these movies compare to current movies?
"Does anyone care about the Patriots and their cheating?"

Umm..obviously someone does. The Patriots have put up huge ratings all season long. In fact, the Patriots-Ravens game was the highest rated program in the history of cable TV. You obviously aren't a football fan.
I understand CBS, since it has the AFC contract. But why NBC over FOX? Was FOX offered the chance to show the game as well?
So is Sony basically saying "we don't care about sports fans"? Even the newest LCD units have motion blur problems, especially with football (this is based on reviews I'm reading).
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
