DirecTV can burn in hell. I hope when the new rocket launches it crashes into their headquarters and puts them in financial ruin.

2 year contracts without informing the customer when they sign up for HD service? Leased receivers when you buy them for full price from a Consumer Electronics store?

You have got to be kidding me. Go away DirecTV, once cable gets the NFL back you are done.
HAHA! Yeah it's funny, they're practically giving these discs away and still are being outsold 3:1. This just shows how "dead" HD DVD really is.

Glad to see it go!
Awesome news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's gotta burn all of the HD DVD chaps good, awesome!
I think Engadget is being a little more prudent with their death watch prediction this time.

HD DVD has always been the inferior format, we all knew that ... and we all know that it's going to die. So just deal with it.

HD DVD, the look and sound of six feet under :)
I don't think we'll see nfinity on these boards much anymore ... at least not in his "nfinity" name ... he's probably crying himself to sleep right about now ;)
The fact that HD DVD lost ground in spite of their huge BOGOs shows how dead it truly is.
My goodness you are stretching for any bit of positive news for HD DVD. LOL!
Another domino falls for Blu-ray. Awesome!
Warner is currently still releasing titles on HD DVD. Starting June 1st, this will end.

The only chance HD DVD has to show any signs of improvement are between now and then. But either way, it's pointless. HD DVD is dead, they know it, it's just a matter of time until all of the customers who were tricked into buying one of their obsolete players realizes.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
