Could any one tell me which plug-in should I download for recording the radio stream? There are lots of downloads from http://www.rarewares.org/ogg-oggenc.php? Thanks.
I'm using this application for about 2 years. I love it, but I hope the author can update it. This release doesn't support Vista and was built several years ago. (before 2006, I think.)
Well, this gadget does include all main functions of VMC, but I'm not sure if everyone would like to watch TV in that small square (or even do the trivial settings). I just found another Sideshow gadget from AVerMedia. If you happen to have an AVerMedia products, say Hybrid Volar MAX or Bravo Hybrid PCI-E, it may be a good try. The AVerMedia gadget allows you to listen to the FM radio on your desktop.

Actually, you may just use Klite Mega Codec Pack instead of Klite Codec, Real Alternative and QuickTime Alternative. It can read them all.
Actually, AVerMedia had released 3 corresponding beta VMC QAM plug-ins for their AVerTV Hybrid Volar MAX, AVerTV Bravo Hybrid PCI-E, and even the popular AVerTV Combo PCI-E early this year. Their PM released them on "The Green Button" forum. Every AVerMedia users can download them from the following route.
ftp://beta:betatest@ftp.aver.com
I also go for AVerTV Combo PCIE. From gama69g's comment, it seems that AVerTV Bravo Hybrid PCIE also has QAM support under Vista MCE.
Google should have put "Beta" for SubDownloader.
It doesn't work on non-English version Windows. The error log is also awkward to provide any help to solve the problem. Well, if you wanna try it on your non-English Windows, you have to change the region setting to En-US before initiating this application.
WinTV HVR 950Q is more expensive, about 20 bucks more than this one. Well, I think it is because of the accompanying remote. However, if you're a video game lover, you will prefer AVerTV Hybrid Volar MAX for the synchronization tech when playin games on MCE. Also, 950Q cannot do the real-time H.264 recording.
Microsoft always launches its services or products in a hurry...It's so ironic that IE 8 cannot support Windows Update!
Happy Birthday and Thank You!
I always find something interesting here!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
