This is total crap... I am completely eligible based on this announcement.. but according to AT&T I am not since I didn't purchase the iPhone 3G the month it was released. AT&T should be held liable since this is not written anywhere.
Ben, there are several blu-ray titles with ditial copies: Hitman, Rambo, Juno, Jumper, and Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. Many more to come most likely from FOX and Lionsgate. Probably other stuidos will follow suit eventually.
I thought FOX said that this didn't exists and that they copies floating around the web were HD DVD rips from overseas. lol... now FOX lower your blu-ray prices like Warner to play nice...
I think it is too expensive for mass-consumption. Now that HD DVDs gone I doubt prices will fall as fast. Right now only HD and Movie enthusiasts will buy. This definitely won't be a DVD replacement any time soon. I know a lot of people are fine with their standard definition TVs and DVD/VHS combos. When they see HD they agree it’s nice but don't feel like putting any extra into their viewing experience.
First off I own both formats, an HD-A35 and a PS3 and have over 250 titles, but with more HD DVDs. It is a sad day now the format war is over, because HD DVD so far has had better qualit all around, but Blu-ray did have a better strategy and didn't sit idly for months at a time. I hate that some of the first generation blu-ray titles are such bad quality I wonder why they even made the disc.
My question for you guys that you might be able to ask Universal and Paramount and Weinstein (if applicable lol) what will be their strategy in releasing new titles to the HD arena? I am sure they will want to put every title they have on HD DVD on Blu-ray, but I already have all those. I figure they will have new titles like Iron Man, but what about catalog titles yet to be released in HD. I will be ready to re-buy titles if they include more content or have better quality, but that's yet to happen.
I think the Logitech Harmony One looks good, hopefully they have fixed some of the negitive things from previous remotes. I hope we see some reviews soon. Hopefully someone can figure out a way to make this also work with the PS3.
Paramount already stated it would stick with HD DVD. Although if they are like Warner they could change their mind by friday just about when HD DVD group is ready to make a break through statement.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
