This is annoying. I went through the trouble of connecting my player to the internet and the update isn't available that way (at least not yet). Now I'm going to have to waste another disc updating this thing (the other time when the previous update disabled my network connection).
I'll take one!
I heard that Best Buy had one per store in Michigan. I checked out a store here in Louisiana last week and found one lone player on a shelf away from the main dvd/blu-ray/hd-dvd player section. There was no price or anything on it. I stopped by again yesterday to check out some movies and there were no other BD-UP5000s that I could find. Maybe Amazon just doesn't want to say it's available until they are able to get a decent number of them in stock?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
