I use both. The best reason, for me, to continue using Blockbuster is that NetFlix has this boneheaded penny-pinching policy of only buying the original release of a movie. Case in point, "True Romance". NetFlix only stocks the original, single-disc, non-anamorphic DVD; while Blockbuster stocks the original plus the 2-disc special edition DVD released later.
Who needs Comcast TiVo. There's been a hack for this online for years:
Press and hold the “Setup” button until the “Cable” button blinks twice. Type in the code 994. The “Cable” button will blink twice. Press (do not hold) the “Setup” button. Type in the code 00173. Press whatever button you want to map the 30-second skip command to.
I got mine on December 18, at a Best Buy in suburban Detroit, Michigan. I've noticed occasional bugs when trying to play some special features, but on the whole performance is great and my HDTV has never looked better.
