I was a long time Netflix user and switched to Blockbuster. After about one year of the Blockbuster service I switched back to Netflix. So I've had both and Netflix runs circles around Blockbuster. The turn-around time is extremely fast. Now I'm hooked on my instant queue and can't wait for it to be released on the Xbox. Netflix is the only way to go.
Now I know why my cable bill got so high I had to cancel it.
My bad on the prior post. I see this is something new they are working on. Sorry for questioning the article.
Quote from the article "The generator uses an impeller spinning in the coolant to heat it by means of the sheering forces in the liquid." Are you sure about this statement? I work for a company that services Webasto units on a regular basis. They are basically fuel furnaces (not generators) that are tapped into the engines cooling system. They have a coolant transfer pump that circulates the heated coolant. They are usually connected to the vehicles heater hoses and affect the operation of the engine none whatsoever. They also offer a unit that is an air handler only, similar to how a gas furnace would operate in you home.
Awesome. I can't wait to win it. Sorry to all of those who entered and lost out to me.

Is there a difference between my up-converted DVD and my HD-DVD player? Yes. But is it enough of a difference to justify putting up with the format war, pricing, and replacing my DVD library? NO! The difference is marginal and certainly not worth the headache when considering the frustration of the lack of adopting a standard and the cost of High Def DVD. It's simply not worth the investment. My money will be better spent somewhere else. DVD will be my choice for the future and is here to stay. At the rate the High Def movement is going, DVD will be here for a long time.
Great article, just wish it had 20 more entries because I didn't know there were some alternatives available. If anyone has any other suggestions for better alternatives please post them.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
