Everyone is forgetting that the tablet doesn't exist now and wont exist anytime soon.
Notice the update on the original article:

Update: Through other people present at the event who played with the tablet a bit (I didn’t) I’ve been told it’s a Tegra based tablet that NVIDIA have developed to show off to various companies. This one was made for T-Mobile and carried their logo.
Not all of the room in The Mirage have been renovated. Request one just to be safe.
dont expect to see a tablet, although i'm not sure why you'd want one anyway.
Doesn't editing require at least 2 clips cut together to make something new? What this ad refers to as editing is simply trimming video.
With the older version of Airport Extreme you can access files over the internet. I have the previous model with a 2 TB external drive connected via USB. It's set up as a shared disk and I can access it easily on my network, but I can also mount it over the internet using AFP and the router's IP address. When connecting, I'm prompted for authentication then it mounts on my desktop like any other server drive.

On my network, this drive also acts as my Time Capsule. I created a Backup partition on that 2 TB drive and in the Time Capsule system preferences, I simply selected that as my disk. In the Backup partition, it creates a disk image that it mounts to my computer, backs up my machine, then automatically unmounts the disk image when finished. I essentially created my own time capsule with my own external drive.

I've had this setup working since this past summer when I bought all the gear.
If you're new to the game you'll probably find the speed acceptable, but there definitely is major room for improvement. Hope updates happen soon. Otherwise why rush it through development?

I'm not sure of the distinction between lossless and virtually lossless. Seems like you're splitting hairs here. What I can say about ProRes is that, "lossless" or not, you cannot tell the difference between footage that's ProRes vs Uncompressed. The alpha channel would be nice but not necessary (you still cannot have transparency on tape) and 4:4:4 is rare on a day-to-day basis for so much HD post-production that most HD users will never need 4:4:4.

Check out this split screen comparison:

ProRes is lossless. Many TV shows and commercials are produced and broadcast after being mastered in this format. It's efficient for storage and still looks amazing when transfered to tape. However, ProRes has always been compatible with Quicktime if you have the AppleProRes422.component installed.
I think they are. I've tried to watch some On Demand content but I get an error message about 2-way communication problems. I'm thinking that when they add the new channels we'll see a firmware upgrade that will change how the content is accessed.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
