Been doing this sans disc for over a year..."Play On" baby.
Yeah, it's marketing...of course it's overblown.
Get rid of my physical media? They'll have to rip it from my King Fu Grip!!!!
YES!!!! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!
I'll take one!!!!
I have been using Blockbuster for about 2 years now and have been happy with it. People talk about Netflix having a bigger selection and higher inventory, but I've never really had any issues with BB. The one time they didn't have a movie at all (1984), I checked Netflix and they didn't have it either.

The reason I chose to go with Blockbuster is that I like to rent video games and I get a free rental coupon each month that i can use on a movie or a game. The new game-by-mail option will be a big plus for me too when that comes around.

I've told everyone who's ever asked me this question before that, aside from the monthly in store coupon, Netflix and BB are more or less the same. Of course, that was before Netflix did VOD and BB announced the games-by-mail.

Oh, and incase it matters I live in N. Virginia and my discs almost always come from Richmond, VA or Baltimore, MD. Typical turn around is 1-2 days.
That makes sense, I haven't used Gamefly for a VERY long time so I don't even look at what they have. I guess it's possible though, who knows. I would be surprised if they cancelled it though, they know they need good exclusives and MMO's have been one of SOE's strong points (i.e. Everquest).
Is it possible that Gamefly decided not to carry it because it is an MMO? The two possible reasons that Gamefly gave are probably standard reasons, since I'm sure there aren't a lot of games that they decide to cancel pre-launch...
It's not that Warner cares to be respectable, they have a contract to do HD-DVD until May and they figure they'll make some money while they're at it. None of these companies care about who bought into HD-DVD.
There's no way Toshiba could've gotten Paramount and Universal to stop producing DVD's. Paramount and Universal really couldn't care less who won the war, in the end they just want to sell HD movies and generate more revenue. If they only made combo discs, they would either have to sell them at DVD price (making it pointless for them anyways) or sell them at HD-DVD price (causing them to lose a lot of sales). The studios are the ones who won here, either way they are going to sell their movies. Hell, Paramount and Universal (and even Warner) are the biggest winners here...they sold a bunch of HD-DVD's that many people (I'm not implying everyone) will go repurchase on Blu-Ray!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
