I've now looked at more than 20 programs on TBS- "HD". Every single one has been distorted and completely unwatchable. Movies are all stretched from 4:3 versions to 16:9. And somehow they have even managed to ruin recent HD TV shows that are being natively produced in 16:9 (such as The Office) so that they are horribly distorted too.
I'm convinced from the utter non-response of TNT-HD to the huge number of complaints that we users have made about distorted programs on that channel, that complaining to Turner about their tragically poor PQ is pointless.
TBS-HD is a complete waste of bandwidth on the cable. I've asked my cable co to drop it from the lineup.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
