I tried to love this thing... I really did.
Didn't mind paying for the extra codecs... didn't mind the crashing that was less frequent as the firmware updates flowed, but as soon as I got my 11'6" Acer Timeline w/ the dual core Pentium and 8 hour battery life for only a little more that the cost of this thing... had to send it back. It's just so much more flexible...

We had a good run Archos.

@look a cow

Haven't experienced that.
@David3000

Hasn't crashed once since the last firmware update. Still takes forever to boot from a full power off though. Zippy once in the OS.
@John W Harding

It's awesome BUT it does take a while to start up. About a quarter of the time of a blackberry. Sometimes an app will crash @ random requiring a reboot, but that only happened to me 3 times in the two months owning it. Now that I think about it, after the firmware update it didn't do it at all. Just be warned that some codecs have to be purchased as they did not include them to cut down on the cost of the unit for people who may not be utilizing it for other video sources. The browser is awesome, the open source factor is always nice, and the device has a lot of potential. If you are looking for a device that is 100% frustration free though, this is not it.

"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
