I remember quite a few HD DVD fanboys opining that the capacity was irrelevant so when Toshiba made the announcement it had matched Blu-ray's dual-layer capacity it seemed a bizarre claim to a "win" for the HD DVD camp.

At the time it was difficult to be much impressed by Toshiba merely matching its competitor. The overriding feeling was they had to do far better than just that to turn the tide.
I feel I should point out Australia is not in Europe, perhaps you are confusing it with Austria. I don't remember any roos in The Sound of Music, nor any Alps down under.
Yeah handy is the word. Not really that important though is it.
As much as I think this may be useful, none of my other AV devices do this. I have to manually turn them all off. I guess my point is, this really wasn't something I was waiting for. Some kind of playlist importer, smart playlist or ratings system for media I have on there would be "important", rather than an auto power-off option for the finger challenged.

What is it with all these "should have been there from-day-one/long-time-ago" posts anyway? It's here now isn't it? Enjoy your auto-standby-power-off meh.
Amazon UK are accepting pre-orders. Comes out Friday. Happy shopping.
Remember the new 80gb is bundled with a Dualshock3, and the old 40gb not. It may make sense to return it.
Formatting the PS3 doesn't remove the login details, they are all buried in flash memory somewhere.

You have to delete the user login details seperately.
Not true, the British Isles is a term sometimes, but not accurately, used to describe the islands specifically in that area of the west of continental europe (Ireland, Great Britain, Isle Of Man, etc). Great Britain is England, Wales and Scotland. The U.K. is Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
You missed out the English. I believe they are also part of the U.K.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"With all the new multitouch capable monitors coming out, which one is the best? With the release of Windows 7 I really want a touchscreen monitor for my desktop. I'm looking to get a Full HD monitor that supports multitouch and can still look great during gaming and movies. Which one has the best specs for the price?"
