Picked one up this morning.. great deal. TV is only 1080i so I am good to go for a few years!
Wonder how loud this thing will be? my ps2 sounds like a freight train when compared with the htpc :)
hrm.. intel - lcos kinda comes to mind...
Has a CC2.0 date been established? - Series3 tivo is really appealing as it will allow for OTA and cable..
I heard an HD DVD commerical on Mike and Mike in the Morning - ESPN radio via xm yesterday at about 7am - not sure if it was espn radio or xm commercial..
Its about time.. I was shocked to find out they only used SD for replays.. if its there, use it! (note: this is not an endorsement for replay.. its there, so lets use the best equiptment we can)
I like the unit myself.. 4 eps in and I still like it :) - as always, everyones mileage will vary
Lets hope they get smart about it and allow us to build our own pc's and not be forced into buying overpriced underpowered ViiV's or whatever they are calling them now
Ben - good article.. I never realizded the Jointennas existed.. I may try them.. VHF may be an issue here in Cincinnati as WCPO - ABC 9 broadcasts on digital 10 - vhf (luckly my uhf antenna picks it up ok) They have applied to stay there after the cut off date. CBS 12 in Cincinnati broadcasts on digital 30 (or 31..) anyway - they have applied to go back to 12 after the cut off.. so in cincinnati - vhf will still be needed to some degree. Question, ben - do you use a mast amp or just a cheap Ratshack amp on the other end to split the signal?
6 Days to Sunday was also HD on a few occasions. As far as Directv.. last year they were spot on with Game of the Week in HD.. this year it was a crap shoot, and more often then not, they did not show it in HD.. Thanks for the love Directv!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
