Uh...wow...really? that's...a silly reason not to buy a computer.
Thank you for pointing out what pretty much NO ONE HERE understands: removing a feature in favor of convenience is a temporary push to signal a change in the industry. no one should have to keep extra batteries. the battery should just last longer.
Youre the same kind of person that bitched about the "shitty iMac" because it had no floppy drive.

Grow up, kid.
Learn to use a mac, dummy. Hold down the power button for 5 seconds.
Or, battery: $129. Installing=free

(Thats what apple says)
Sam Zebian, youre the idiot. Hold down the power button for 5 seconds.

Learn to use a mac before opening your mouth and bitching.
nothing is wrong with them. batteries are replaced for free (you pay for a new one, of course)
relax.
uh, the RAM is integrated, and is 2 gigs really not enough for you?
why do you need an ethernet port with all the wifi hotspots? get a wireless router.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
