I never really understood the extra disc. Once you download the movie, it's just a coaster. I prefer what Warner is doing here.
Somehow I never got around to picking these up because of misframing problems on the DVD. So I'll definitely pick 'em up on BD.
I still prefer netflix to these kiosks, but it is cool to see BD going widespread.

My only worry is the little old lady who inadvertently rents a Blu-ray Disc and can't get it to play in her DVD player.
Between this, Heroes, and the recently announced Firefly BD, my wallet's going to be hurting. But its nice to see the studios get serious about TV on BD.
I don't know anyone who pays the SRP on Blu-ray, or for that matter on standard DVDs. Most of the DVDs in the $20 range have an SRP of $29.99. And DVDs were once at at $39.99 SRP (believe me, I know. I worked at a chain called Suncoast when DVD first came out, and the average selling price was about $29.99-39.99, depending on the studio).

It's relatively easy to find titles about $10 below SRP if you don't actually buy them out of the studios' online stores.

This week, I'll be picking up Narnia and Master and Commander. I'm glad its finally coming out- Ive been waiting for M&C for months!
Just picked up the DMP-BD30 yesterday. I have a PS3 in the other room, but since I don't really use the web features yet, I'm really liking the Panasonic better (if only because it works with my Harmony without a workaround).
I might be looking forward to this release even more than Batman Begins...
April looks to be a lot better, with titles like Unbreakable, Juno, and The Golden Compass on the horizon.

I guess I can save the money this week towards that Batman Begins giftset in July.

If it works like Digital Copy, then there would presumably be a unique code included. You'd enter that into PS3, and it would make the copy once. This would prevent people from simply netflixing BD movies and getting the portable version.
I bought my 360 Arcade for Mass Effect specifically. But this Elite console's HDD will come in handy for the new DLC, as well as HD Movies off of Marketplace.

Plus, the Black finish matches my home theater equipment waaaay better than the eggshell white of the Arcade.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
