What I've heard yesterday when I was given a quick overview of the product, was in referance to using it for digital signage, ala Corporate, Casino and Hospital TV networks. It uses M-JPEG and multipul units can be daisy chained and ran independantly, ie, advertising on one screen, and the big game on the other. Also, I believe its designed to be on a scale of greater than 8 recievers. It can run off an existing network, but is not reccomended when using more than one reciever. Thats the deets I heard yesterday, and the one I heard it from was very excited in the future possibilities this will offer.
Great, now it will be even tougher for me to attempt to spin the ball on my index finger.
I'm headed down from PA on Friday morning, it would be a bonus if I can arrive early enough to catch the show. I'll see what kind of pic's I can snap, but I'll probably be in awe too much to remember I have a camera.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
