Hey we have a bunch in as well at the edmonton store, i thought about taking a picture but i was too busy
Telus already has a pretty robust 3g network considering how big Canada is.
Isn't Telus launching an LTE network not a HSPA(WCDMA) network? They already have CDMA 2000 EVDO 3g, and it wouldn't make sense to build a 2nd completely different 3g network when the LTE standard specifies co-existence with legacy standards so that users can transparently start a call or transfer of data in an area using an LTE standard, and, should coverage be unavailable, continue the operation without any action on their part using GSM/GPRS or W-CDMA-based UMTS or even 3GPP2 networks such as cdmaOne or CDMA2000.
Actually GSM died along time ago 3G is actually WCDMA the so called CDMA networks are just running CDMA2000
Hey, I love my blackberry storm. The only thing that RIM could do to make me get something else is release that mythical bold style phone that has a touchscreen as well as a full qwerty keyboard, that would be pure sex.
You guys are still waiting for the Touch Diamond? We had ours in Canada in August, and they're such old news up here i can't find someone to take mine for $250 and it is in mint condition, everyone wants a Bold, Storm, New Curve, iPhone, or Touch Pro. Even the Pearl, and Pearl Flips are selling more then the Touch Diamond right now.
Oh how i wish the Canadian market was even the slightest big competitive, and we got sweet HD channels... all we have is crap like Discovery HD.
It kinda makes sense in the fact that they might want to roll out their digital equipment as to have time to work out any bugs they might have as well as allow their viewers time to adjust to the switch to digital. Also some broadcasters switching to all digital before the date will make some of those people who have no idea what this change means to them realize that they can't watch DTV with their analog tuners.
I also disagree with you about needing WIFI. I never use the WIFI on my Touch Diamond, in fact i keep it turned off because it just wastes the battery. The EVDO REV-A on Telus is plenty fast enough. Despite just getting the Diamond a couple months ago I will be getting the Storm in a couple of days so that I can pin and use blackberry messenger. WIFI is fairly low on my list of needs in a phone.
I agree micro or mini usb. i love being able to have just 1 power brick and one car adapter that can charge any of my devices with the same 1 or 2 cables. With just 2 cables i can charge my htc Touch Diamond, iPod, Canon Powershot, and many other devices. USB chargers kick ass.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
