Jesus, internet in the US is a joke, here in Portugal we can get 100 mbps from 2 different providers, one ISP has a pack with 100mb/10mb Down/Up with unlimited downloads and 100 TV Channels, all of this for 65 euros per month. Another ISP has a pack with 100Mb/6Mb Down/Up with unlimited downloads, 93 TV Channels, unlimited phone calls just for 65 euros per month.
This is a joke, no Babylon 5? No Star Trek Deep Space 9? No West Wing? These 3 shows could easily get a place in the top 10.
At least you have HD channels, here in Portugal we don't have any HD channels on the only cable/sat provider that covers the all country, there 2 HD channels (Luxe TV and HD1) available on one IPTV provider that is available only on the two biggest cities we have. So before you complain remenber that there are those who pay 75$ a month for 60 SD channels, most of whom are crap, the only ones that are good are FOX, FOX Life, FOX CRIME, F/X and AXN
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
