Making our senators and congressmen use social security would be a great start to fixing our system.
Those prices are for the minimum configuration.

The 4TB configuration is 659.99.
Windows NT 3.51
Windows 4 / 2000
Windows 5 / XP
Windows 6 / Vista
Windows 7

The windows 1, 2, 3, 3.1, 3.11, 95, 95osr2, 98, ME family are not part of this numbering scheme since they are a different family of OS.
They shipped some even before April 1. I got a black one last week and to answer the questions above:

Yes it has AV input and comes with the cable to do normal SD video which is basically 640x480.
Yes it does music, video, photo slideshow.
I haven't ran out of battery yet.
You can use an external TV tuner if you really want to. I'm glad they didn't try and put in a non-digital tuner since that wouldn't be useful for very long anyway.

The only problem I have with mine is that there isn't any way to adjust the contrast and mine is kind of dark so I have an e-mail into BeamBox to help me figure out how to make the colors in some photos show up a little better.

Seems like this would be a good home automation interface computer. Just install in a wall or in a nook in a hallway to control heating, lighting, audio, security, etc.

Otherwise touchscreen on a desktop seems pretty useless.
A couple of million for me directly from Uncle Sam would free me up to help homeless people.
I know this is a little late and probably won't be read by most, but look how late in the day they started adding in the Friday the 13th photo edits. Sheesh..
That's a good theory about the system being taxed more because the processor was in use more. Too bad it is an untested shot in the dark that doesn't hold up against the existing data at hand.

If you actually read the TH article they "measure" the usage of the drives and show how much each one is using in idle and when active.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ssd-hdd-battery,1955-14.html

You can see from their chart that several of the SSD's have higher power consumption than a normal drive. They note that since the SSD's don't have any levels of power usage between "idle" and "active" they tend to use more power for the same amount of user activities.
I would pick up the Penny Arcade game.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
