Okay, a fairly quick call to Dish and they got it figured out. They had to send a "hit" to my smart card and now I'm seeing all the Viacom channels and FX HD like I'm supposed to.
This is confusing. According to my bill, I have Classic Silver 200 and Silver HD. According to this post I should have FX HD, correct? I don't. As for the Viacom channels (http://www.engadgethd.com/2009/04/10/dish-network-adds-seven-new-viacom-hd-channels-cements-hd-supre/) I do have CMT HD, Comedy Central HD, and Spike HD, but no MTV HD, VH1 HD, or Nick HD. What is going on, why is this so difficult to understand?

I really just want FX HD.
Still like Dish, but when are we getting FX HD? With Rescue Me back on I'm really wanting it.
Another Paradigm Studio customer here. Paradigm has a good range of well made, good sounding speakers. I used to power mine with an Acurus amp, but am currently using a Marantz and they sound as good as they did when I first got them probably 10 years ago (or more!).
Does this mean if we don't use/want streaming that Netflix will lower our rates?
Funny, I am considering dumping Dish and just going with OTA and a home theater PC. Most of what we watch is OTA anyways, and with a htpc, network websites and hulu, I bet we wouldn't miss out on much. Now I just have to figure out how to get a htpc built and working with my home theater.
Who knew there even were 32" plasmas, I thought 42" was the smallest.
How about streaming to the PS3?
Hang in there. Here in Sacramento we just got the local Fox in HD about a month or two ago. It just showed up unannounced, but very much appreciated.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
