Hopefully he is asked or volunteers information on the upcoming HTC Passion for Verizon
thats hilarious. An apple apologist pointing the "fanboy" finger at someone else. Did you just crawl out of a hole? Go read a droid article that never mentions the iphone once and look at all the iphone teenyboppers that come running in to justify their existence. Face it, you have an ipod that can occasionally make phone calls depending on where you are located. Enjoy!
For starters, anyone who thinks this phone is a failure because it doesnt have waiting lines like the iphone needs to get a grip. There was no chance it was ever going to have the same buzz because it doesnt have an apple logo on it. 99% of the people that were waiting in line for the iphone were just mindless apple fanboys. Steve Jobs could take a brick, cut it in half, say its the thinnest paper weight ever made, stamp an apple logo on it and call it the iBrick. The next day each apple store would have a line of 75 mindless appletards waiting in line for it. Motorola doesnt have that following. What they do have is a good phone on the best network around. Thats why it will ultimately be successful for verizon. If you want a nice ipod that can occasionally make phone calls get the iphone. If you want the same capabilities coupled with the ability to get service and always make a clear call then go with the droid and verizon.
you can have your terrible 3g coverage, I'll stick with a carrier that will allow me to make clear phone calls wherever go. If I had a dollar for each time one of my friends with an iphone asked to borrow my verizon POS to make a phone call because they cant get a signal i would be rich. Apparently they dont have an App for terrible call quality.
thats a picture of the phone settings screen inside the menu, what are you expecting from that? I dont know, maybe the iphone has some cool innovative way to tell you when version of the operating system is running. Not saying the 2.0 is going to be anything special, but im atleast going to wait until i see a picure of the homescreen or menu to decide that.
2.0 will be available only on the sholes/tao/droid (STD) until Q2 2010. Thats when there will be a full public release. So the Samsung rep wasnt exactly wrong, he just failed to explain that there actually will be one device that will have 2.0
@ klmsu19

WRONG! While the iphone is undoubtedly popular it is still only available on one device. Couple that with the fact that it is only available on one network in the US. Android is getting ready to appear or already has appeared on multiple devices and multiple networks throughout the US. Even throughout the rest of the world, apple is only interested in exclusivity contracts with carriers while android is making their OS available to all. Android will be MUCH more popular than OSX with a few years.
Those fingernails make me want to throw up!
this sounds so backwards, winmobile 6.5 should be on the whitestone with the 3.6 inch display. Instead they put it on the Mega with the crappy little 2.8 inch display. No touchscreen device should have a display of less than 3 inches.
I have an amazing idea, if you dont want to read anything involving rumors... then dont read them!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
