With the Logitech remote, clicking the off button would turn off everything in my system including the PS3 with this device. Now I often download large files with my PS3 and use the shutdown option that leaves the PS3 on and automatically shuts down after all downloads complete and installations are finished. How is this handled with this device or do you lose this capability if you go this route?
I signed up last month and the deal was $200 cash if you keep the service for 30 days! A much better deal, and I love the service, and it's $20 a month cheaper than what I was paying for not too mention a better package all around (faster internet speed, more channels, HD DVR capability on 3 hdtvs)!
That's easy... buy the "Premium" version of whatever cable you need from Monoprice.com, you'll save tons of money and the quality is outstanding for the price.
I made the switch from Comcast to Dish a couple years ago knocking my monthly fees by about 40% and getting me a free DVR.

Sadly, I had to join back up with Comcast last year to get my high-speed internet (currently still can't get DSL in my area - 100ft out of range). Paying $60 /month for 8Mbps with *actual* speeds clocking in around 3-4.5Mbps.

My friend who lives 1 mile away is able to get AT&T dsl for 1/2 the price I pay (*not* an introductory rate) and gets slightly faster actual speeds than I do. Needless to say, I will be jumping ship from Comcast for good the moment I can get DSL! Comcast is in desperate need of offering more competitive pricing (rather than 6 month "deals" that get you around the cost of the other guys for the first 6 months!)

"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
