I want a small, sporty SUV. I was waiting for the Tiguan before deciding what to buy. Unfortunately current exchange rates have made the vehicle too expensive. I can buy a late model used X3 for the same or less. Since what really wanted was a BMW, its too bad VW.
Volvo is missing a great opportunity in not making a Volvo version of the Mazda 5. I know they want to be hip, young, and sporty, but they made their mark on the world being safe, and kid friendly. Imagine if they took the Mazda 5, gave it a nice turbo engine, all wheel drive, cleaned up front end styling, and a euro interior, you'd have the perfect family hauler. Easy to get the kids in and out of, and great for heading to the mountains. Think about it.
I really don't like the current front end on VWs. It looks like a chrome goatee. Dude, just shave it off! To get an idea of how bad it looks, compare the Rabbit with the Jetta. The Rabbit totally wins.
The problem is that the new xB is ugly. Not ugly in the cute, funky sense, but ugly in the "I don't want to be seen in it" sense. One of the redeeming qualities of the xB was its large windows. Squeezing the roof down destroyed the balance between window and body in the car. I'm sure that somewhere in Toyota there is a study that says smaller windows make the car more 'hip-hop', but sales numbers are proving the totally silliness of that idea.
It really is time for directtv and tivo to kiss and make up. I'm a long time directtv/tivo customer and I WANT HD!

Listen up directtv, I'm very, very close to switching to comcast so that I can get a HD Tivo solution. This would be a great opportunity to pre-announce that Tivo is coming back to directtv. Don't make me leave.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
