Pfft, I would run KDE on that shit.
"windows seven as of now has 63 bit and 32 bit architechture, I highly doubt they would ever do a ppc version, no reason for them to at all"

I assume you mean x86_64 and x86_32 (to use the vendor-neutral terms); actually, it's a little-known fact that NT was originally intended to be portable across many different architectures, but at some point they decided it would be too much effort. I personally think they should supporting alternative architectures, mainly because it would allow them to cut into Linux's marketshare with ARM/MIPS/BBQ-based devices, and possibly encourage better programming among developers (most Windows programmers have probably never seen the word 'portable' in their lives ;). Also, that should have been a semicolon after 'architechture' (which was misspelled btw), not a comma. Here's a helpful guide I made nine days ago for anyone who's confused about that issue: http://i42.tinypic.com/zn4iet.jpg
I think it's sexy.
@giuliop

You do realize that Microsoft didn't even make DOS, right?
@Tarnation

You are entitled to your own opinion about DivX, but please don't slander/libel it by calling it a competitor to DVD.
So, if it requires custom software, is there any chance of a Linux port (for normal desktop usage)? Or can GPUs not be utilized for the same kinds of things as CPUs?
"If Google can get Chrome working like Safari, I'd look at Android a lot more seriously"

From what I hear, Chrome is better than Safari, but how is that at all relevant to Android?
"dunno, haven't really played with them.

But I really do love the ergonomics of it; it just feels soooo good holding onto!"

That's what SHE said!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
