From the manufacturers point of view this makes sense. First generation of TVs need glasses, everyone invests in the switch from HD to 3D HD. Second gen is glasses free, meaning everyone needs to buy a new TV - yay for the economy :)
Upon receiving the watch everyone will bow to my superiority, I will then command the major economies of the western world in totalitarian rule. Problem solved.
Yes, just like nVidia release drivers for a OS that isn't released yet. Don't tell me Google hasn't downloaded Win 7 RC
Do you guys seriously think this product is drect competition to the iPhone? You fanbois need to get you're heads out of your asses. "to emulate the iphone" oh year cos your iphone tells you that you've placed a drink on it.
This is a commercial product, hence the price tag, size and usage.
The idea of using an existing infrastructure is a good one. But the fact the video shows stations, or at least drop off points, means that there is investment needed to finalise the infrastructure. As this is intended for disused railway lines, is it really going to take off when (in my experience) disused railway lines are not near business districts.

On the other hand maybe there are a fair number of inner city railway lines that would benefit from two way traffic.
@DssTrainer the honeycomb has gone from view, but it's exactly the same as before, ie the icons are not in a grid, but like vertical bricks :)
They only recently started stocking the Vairo IV in the UK. Luckily I jumped ship due to their lag between HTC release and theirs. Glad I did, because I would be gutted to have the Touch Pro when the Touch Pro 2 is just around the corner.
But what about if you could automatically switch between BT FON wifi and gsm when needed, so that most of the time your using VOIP. That might work, kinda.

@Code601 nicely found article
What a joke. Do they realise cells come on 12-18 month contracts, and current buyers of WinMo will be showing their friends their current pathetic IEMobile experience in 18 months time, while Android and iPhone users will be laughing in their faces with their updated May 2010 browsers. It does nothing for the WinMo Lifecycle, and only aids its permanent decline.
It's because they are off, so the glass is reflecting the conference hall
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
