I'm really anxious for the droid "what would you change." Well, not really for all of the "MAKE IT AN iPHONE" comments that'll come from people who never used it, but just to add some constructive criticism to plan updates to the phone, etc.

The rest of this was interesting as the Cliq is probably the second most popular new Android device on the US market.
@Tommywm2 It's junk economics when they come up with these ridiculous statistics of saving the state X amount of dollars per year. It just isn't realistic. It will cost the state in tax revenue and sales versus other states, because prices will be higher and few people will be buying. The filthy rich in hollywood are not going to bother with the new sets because most of them get home design professionals to accessorize their homes, who will opt for the _best_ not the _most efficient_.
@Alex You're entirely right. If California's economy wasn't in the toilet, more so than many of the other 49 states, then this would be somewhat more justifiable. But this is no different from any other price fixing campaign to keep prices high by instituting energy standards that, by and large, will not have a significant impact on global energy consumption.
@t Aye, Google, money grubbing bastards... what with their free operating systems and free email and free web services. DAMN THEM!

Apple, on the other hand, who has posted Wall Street profits hand over fist in a recession (to their esteemed credit IMO), well, of course they're not money grubbing in any way.
This photoshop makes no sense.
I love the Droid turn-by-turn, although I know why it was left off... but really, the iPhone app probably should have been as well. You're probably not going to buy a Droid for somebody, but at the same time, you're probably not going to buy an iPhone, an AT&T contract, and the $90 app for someone either.

I'd have included it just for posterity's sake... because it's just as good, if not better, than most of the standalone GPS devices available. Although it also has some peculiarities too.
will this run cstrike in OpenGL better than my RIVA TNT2 card?
Great Video. I think the peripheral is a gimmick and stupid (obviously in my expert opinion, having never played the game), but the video was great.
You win. High rank and paypal donation coming.

Or at least high rank.
@keefer

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
