Ducks in China? I just want to win something.
I heartily recommend Netflix. They've always given me the discs I wanted with one day shipping times, even when I was heavy user. Now that they will offer HD streaming in addition to Blu-ray it just sweetens the deal.
360 owners who want to stream Netflix can also just use one of the plugins for Vista Media Center to let them use Netflix in Media Center on their PC and console.
I'm really excited that Comcast is starting to roll out FX HD, hopefully that channel starts showing up a lot more.
I may have been going to buy most of that stuff anyway, but I wasn't going to buy a game console that isn't HD.
I have no clue why we have an option for none of the above, white panel van, and elsewhere, but not for renting....
I was thinking of setting up OTA for the picture quality, but I hardly ever watch any of those channels anyway.
I haven't had to deal with anything that keeps me from skipping over ads. But I just mind non-HD, really poor picture quality, obnoxious ads that go on forever. I have no problem watching good-looking HD ads that I either have some mild interest in or are funny.
I don't know of any more recent statements, but I really hope they can see that it's a no-brainer.

Has anyone heard anything else about plans for LOTR on Blu-ray?
And no mention of new Johns Adams on HBO?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
