Can someone explain to me why you would even provide more than a mention of the existence of an iPod dock in a press release or blog article (not sure which drove this) about a $3000 AV receiver and a $2000 bluray player ? Really ? You are going to spend $5000 on the guts of a home theater and you will be playing your media from... an iPod ????

On what planet does this hypothetical person live ?
"Now we've heard reports that some cable companies do indeed encrypt these signals, but while you might be willing to complain on some forum about it, have you taken the time to file a proper complaint with the FCC? If not, then you really don't have anything to complain about."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wow. Not true. You only have something to complain about when people break the law and you don't take action to stop them ? So what's the standard ? If 49% of the people complain, then by extension, 51% don't care, so the offending party can keep on breaking the law unimpeded ?
Cable companies, with economic advantages as corporations bestowed upon them by the government are, at the very least, expected to follow the law certainly without the burden on the consumer to rat them out when they don't. Good lord.
What is it, the 1950s again ? Good lord. Stop with all the gimmicks and just make a solid film already.
Same here, Matt. I don't even pay attention to the "availability" on BB anymore. Dark Knight came out, what, 2 weeks ago ? It hit my top 3 and was delivered in 2 days just like any other movie.
You are OUT of movies on BB ? Really ? Is that even possible ? Right now I have 248 movies in my BB queue.
I suppose if you have no life at all, then maybe Netflix has enough movies for you so you don't ever have to leave the house. Otherwise, I think BB has plenty for any normal person.
Actually, you're NOT wrong. That's why I need a copy!
Even better than a Sling!
Really ? For the iPhone ? Whatever. There are really people interested in playing games using a touch screen on their phone. Have fun with that.
Really ? REALLY ??? Good lord. The massive Japanese-American internment program "complicates COD: World at War" ??? It does ?
Uh, no, it sure as hell DOES NOT. It's a game. Get over yourself and your particular victim-class-du-jour moment. Unbelievable. This planet would be SO much better off if everyone stopped searching for their individual offensive moment.
And, no, we should not re-examine COD4 based on the same viewpoint. Why ? Well, 1) because it is also a game, and 2) because islamic terrorists just happen to commit atrocities on a regular basis. I am not overly concerned if they are portrayed badly or offended.
Oh, and PS, the Japanese internment did serve a purpose - we learned as a nation that we need to be far more diligent in ensuring that individual rights are not trampled in that way again. If it hadn't happened then, it would have happened to some group eventually. I mean, hell, as a continuing legacy of the Japanese internment, a good size segment of the population wants to extend full US Constitutional rights to foreign terrorist POWs.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
