Never understood why we're always left out here in the Washington, DC area. We did get FIOS first I suppose. But how come we cant get the high speed mobile rollouts? This is a huge market.
Pretty cool. I'm guessing he means silicone and not silicon.
These are awful rules.
More importantly, why would I want to read NYT?
So, I suppose since it doesn't boot you wont have the opportunity to experience the flickering issue: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jWlepBzVMs

I was going to order an i7 iMac but with all these reported issues I'm already debating getting a Windows pc. I mainly wanted the iMac for the display, but the display issues kindof kill that.
Might be the norm... but still outrageous to pay double for the 'luxury' to use the data allotment how you like.
I'm not trying to be anti-competitive, I'm all for that. But Apple's restrictive APIs only let you do so much. Its not a surprise that many of the apps have the exact same functionality. This market is just so saturated with repetitive garbage, its difficult to find the really innovative ideas. That or maybe I've misjudged the typical consumer, who apparently loves useless crap.
I'm not sure how you see us as anti-apple. I have two iPhones, two Macs, about to be 3 with the new iMac release. But I still agree..... most (if you want to get technical I suppose you can go with >50%) of the apps on the app store are either CRAP or there are N different versions of the same thing.... how many picture taking apps are there? Do we really need that many apps that, in apple's words, "duplicate functionality"?

I'm a bit disappointed in the amount of junk I have to sift through to find anything useful. It all seems to float to the top and I'm not sure of a good way to find anything truly innovative or cool. I agree with AppleZilla's comments.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
