$20 or less... Maybe an old Madden game? ugh, I really hate when TRU does the $20 or less on their game sales; I don't want old games or games that were so bad the fell in price like an old lady with a bad hip.
Can you use more than one bonus on an account?
This is the first Joystiq podcast I have ever listened to. Whats up with all the microphone noise? Yawning, heavy breathing and kind of poor sound quality at times... is this the norm?

Great content so I'll keep listening, but the technical quality was on the low side.
I just don't get the pricing if the actual unit.

#1 - At $258 in the USA, that is $100 more than I just got a XBOX 360 with 20GB drive (new) from FYE after a $100 rebate (no add-ons or bundles required, just the unit).

#2 - From the looks of what it runs, I would think a PS2 would be a better unit and they are cheaper; plus there are tons of bootlegs available at the markets for the PS2 so they can probably get games for cheaper than $13.

I sense this will never see the light of day. Plus if the company goes belly-up, you got a nice paper weight or door stopper since you don't get physical media.
@Josh:
Where the Hell did you read that?!?!?!

Their press release:
"The company expects that impacted stores will not open on Tuesday, November 4, and the store closing sales will begin on Wednesday, November 5. The company expects the sales to be completed no later than calendar year end."

Cnet:
The company plans to begin a liquidation sale at its 155 stores targeted for closing (PDF) on Wednesday and is expected to continue the sale through the rest of the year.

WSJ:
Circuit City said it would close the stores in 55 U.S. markets Tuesday and immediately begin liquidation sales on Wednesday.
WOW..
I almost pulled the trigger abd bought the unit when Amazon had it for $100 until I heard other places were marking it down for around the same price.

Guess I might be able to get one cheap now. I guess it they are going to sell the technology to other companies then there still will be support... if someone wants what they offer that is.
I went through a few of these, if they hired a company to do the dirty work for them it goes like this:

1. Raise all prices to the highest price they ever were in the company. example if a 56" Sony LCD TV had a MSRP of $2999.99 and they sell it now for $2299.99 then they raise it back up to $2999.99

2. Post big yellow signs everywhere with percentage off that gets everyone in to a frenzy.

3. Make more profit in two months than you did in the past year.

4. slowly raise the percentage off amount over months, until almost everything is gone.

5. Try to make workers leave the company so you don't have to pay unemployment.

6. Write employees up for every infraction to make it so you can fire them without paying unemployment.

7. Also do 5 & 6 so you don't have to pay benefits or bonuses.

That's all? These is going to be a long process until they all close. They should have axed more stores, change the name to 'The City' at the remaining locations and do a complete reboot.
@ Brett from Atlanta:

New Egg has them. I'm currently working on setting up a 3TB drive externally for installs with the HDXT (HARD DRIVE XTENDER) from consoleshop
360 deals last minutes to hours, there are expiration dates on most deals; but the coupons are only good for so manyn uses, so they end quick.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
