Get a 50" 1080p Panasonic Plasma for $1,050 shipped from US appliance (free shipping, no tax) and get a HDMI receiver ($250-$375 range) and then pick what speakers YOU want. Shouldn't be more than $1,800 total for this setup.
I agree with Mitchell...

1. streaming movies is sub-par quality, not even DVD quality
2. I watch blu rays
3. I want actual media, so I can rip :)
Likewise - I canceled my Netflix on 3/30 and I am now with Blockbuster! Two at a time with 3 in store exchanges for the same price is a better deal for me because I have a blockbuster .5 mile from my house, plus some weekends we like to go pick out a movie that day.
Last week I dropped from 3 at a time unlimited to 2 at a time unlimited, which starts 4/1/2009. I'm cancelling Netflix tomorrow and I will just do the 99 cent a night rentals from Blockbuster. Getting to be just "another bill". I don't EVER do the netflix streaming, why can't I not have that on my account and not be charged for it?
I have used both services.

I prefer Netlix as a whole, as I don't like going to the store. Netflix does charge $1 extra for Blu Ray access, and Blockbuster doesn't, but that is not a show stopper.

Both services get me my discs to my home in 1 day, so I can't complain there. I had a serious issue with Blockbuster having Blu Ray's readily available. I had 20+ blu rays' in my BB queue, and 16 were long wait, I cancelled and went back to Netflix and haven't looked back.

Netflix also has "Watch Immediately", which you can use a Roku box, or PS3 + Playon Media or watch on your computer. I like to have the media in my hand as you get the best playback material that way.
You're cheap, you must live in the backwoods chevy boi
Yes, I want these in Wisconsin as well!
March 1st, I am dropping my package from Choice Xtra + HD DVR to the Choice package and then just adding DVR access, then I will record local HD with my AM21 tuner.
Works great for me on my 6MB AT&T DSL. I installed PlayOn on my Windows 7 x64 desktop, added 2 movies to my Netflix instant watch and they showed up right away on my PS3. Hulu streaming is awesome with Playon, Kitchen Nightmares and The Office look HD to me, seriously.

Would I pay for software (playon) that streams content I either pay for (netflix) already or get for free (hulu)? No. :)
TOO LATE! WHY DIDNT ANYONE EMAIL ME :(
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
