TWC did this as a money saving measure, I mean come on. They decided to delete some of the most popular HD channels, with shows & movies that are ALL HD to add a secondary, or should I say third tier HD channel like Smithsonian? Don't get me started with MAVTV. It's so much cheaper for TWC to add Smith & MAV then have top tier more expensive HDNET channels. MAVTV is the worst channel I have ever seen. None of it looks like true HD. Looks like they are all up converted and stretched. The presentation looks like 80's cable access with not so attractive bikini girls introducing shows in front of a blue screen. They have a show called 'Stag' where the first host from 'Cheaters' has a show where they film a planned bachelor party, then show it to the girlfriend. It seems so real.. NOT !

Thank God I have FIOS, I get MAV skip right over it and always end up on HDNET and my other quality HD channels.

And where is the US is this MyNetwork in HD?

I'm confused by this as well. Only grannys, and cheapos need the stupid converter boxes. Pay the extra (under$10) a month from cabel company and get a damn box, and get the channels you been paying for already but couldn't without a box, and get access to VOD and little more $ for DVR.

BB in Boston area has tons of them everytime I work. ( I work PT). The Insignia ones (without pass through) are always available, and this July they will be carring another cheapo band (name I forgot), and end of July the "NEW" Insignia ones will have pass through.

Seriously though I agree with other, anyone reading this site and needs a box needs more then a box to help them.

Actually I work PT there and people have refused to buy the PS3 even when its explained as a BR player. Stand alone BR players are in short supply at BB till June, but thank god we got Insignia to tide us over.

The reason BB took them off the shelves, is that they are getting FULL credit from distributors.
If not they would still sell them, why take up space on shelves?
