I can't wait to try Win7 won't even recognize my TV tuner cards. And ATI has not released a driver for my 650 PCI yet.
The FCC needs to step in an require some disclosure by broadcasters. If they have to say "We are stretching and upconverting SD content to fill your 16x9 screen" consumers will quickly change the channel and the free market will force change.
The Sony Style website shows this in stock and shipping 7/27/09.
All I want to hear from Verizon Fios is when they are going to come up with a bigger and better HDDVR!
So does this mean adding a TiVo charge to the DirecTV bill. Its that monthly bill for a service that I get for free in Windows Media Center that will keep me from ever buying a TiVo.
I did not pay big bucks for the 60" plasma to ruin the experence by seeing the movie ahead of time in a theater. Big TVs and HD have conspired to keep adults home. Kids will always search out reasons to get out of the house, and since they can't go to bars the next best thing is the movies.
Acording to the Verizon web site this DVR only records 18 hours of HD programing! So the feature they should be adding a bigger hard drive.
No Blu-Ray in Macs, like I need another reason to ignore Apple. Buying a Mac is like is like sending your grandma to Best Buy to buy your flat screen TV. She will come back with whatever the salesman tells her to buy. It will cost more than you wanted to pay and you won't get to choose the features you want.
OMG, my house was just overflown by a pig!
So how come you guys don't have a sponsor? Here are some suggestions for sponsors.

1)Pioneer Kuro - Sorry, I forgot they don't want anyone to know how good Kuro's are.
2)RS-232 - Sorry again, I forgot it wasn't a proprietary communication protocol so no one can make money off it.
3)A Media extender w/Blu-ray - Oh, that's right no one makes one.
4)TNT/TBS - Stretchiest HDTV on TV
5)Cable TVs HDTV offerings- They don't listen to there customers so I am sure they have never listened to you guys.

So who needs sponsors anyway, I am sure AOL spares no expense producing your fine program?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
