I think I win. I have a samsung 43" and I pull the tv out of the box and watch it for 2 days. The third day I turn on the tv and I got the power lights flashing. I look up in the manual what is going on and my bulb went out. 3 DAYS!!!!! Samsung came out and replaced the bulb and it has lasted me for the past 6 months but I just hope it doesn't go out again till after the super bowl.

I am definatly going to have to check for the dynamic setting
I will stay with my Samsung DLP thank you very much!

I have been using it as a monitor for my computer for the past few weeks. It looks great from the couch.
deleting the sd channels is what i did also. If for some reason you still want to watch sd then you can manually input the number. But I don't know why you would want to do that.
I have a samsung SIR-t451 and have tried rabit ears, terk indoor directional antenna, roof antenna and now a terk indoor powered antenna. All of them have had similar results (channel 2, 4 , 7) the rest are sketchy at best. I am only 6 miles from the broadcast and have line of site to the towers from my apartment. I have tried to compensate with to strong of signal and have tried moving the antenna for a reflected signal. Still nothing would get me 5, 9, 11, 13.

I switched to a fusionHDTV5 gold plus card in my computer and plugged it into my free cable (apartment picks up the tab i think) and I get more than I could have ever hoped for digital and analog. Now if there was just some decent software that supported the card.

I agree though, OTA is great but for some of us there is just no explaination to why it doesn't work.
I love these listings. It saves me time from going to another site to look up just the hd stuff. Is there anyway to get it posted a little bit earlier though? I am rarely at a computer when I go home (and if i am I don't check my rss feeds) and it would be nice to know what is on before I get off work.

Just a suggestion.
Is House in widescreen? I am watching it right now in what looks like hd but it is in 4:3 format. It did put the fox logo on the black bars on the outside though. so I guess it is being broadcast in widescreen but house itself is not in widescreen. Someone let me know cause I am wondering if 24 will have this problem next week too.
Is there any site that keeps up to date information about networks? Verizon had some outtage last week in the LA area and it is really annoying to find out by not being able to make a call.
I would be interested in seeing how the 360 might work with one of those ethernet -> wifi adapters. The ones that can transmit at 108mbps. You may not be able to adjust the settings from in the xbox but i guess you wouldn't have to do that much anyway.
That is a great article. I didn't even know PGR3 had that option/mode. Xbox 360 may be looking decent just for xbox live. If only I could have ps3 specs (blue ray specifically) with a xbox 360 controller and xbox live. maybe as a bonus you could chose to have old nintendo games and a revolution controller as a secondary.
I bought a 43" dlp samsung on ebay. I bought it for $1100 and it ended up being $1300 to my door. I had some problems with it but it came with a manufactures warentee. So I got the image re-aligned and the bulb replaced.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
