@rakeshin What are you talking about? Class 6 32GB SD cards are available now for ~US$78 and a Class 6 16GB card is around $35-40
@zoltek I would say that the Wii did much more "defining" than the XBox 360 or the PS 2 or 3. The XBox 360 and the PS 2/3 while great machines didn't define anything they just continued the existing definition a few more years (the PS2 longer than any). The Wii on the other hand defined a new type of console game that got traditionally "non-gamers" to play games. How many grandma's play the XBox 360? I'm betting lots more play(ed) the Wii. Technology wise the Wii is lacking the others but it defined a new market segment that previously didn't exist.
@d0mth0ma5 that might be true but Tivo and ReplayTV started the DVR movement. But I agree that Tivo should be the one listed mainly because when you say "Tivo" everyone knows what technology you are talking about.
@TheCodexAlera The EFT from Google is to recover their commission from T-Mobile. When they sell you the phone w/TMobile service then Tmobile cuts them a commission check. If you cancel within 120 days then TMobile doesn't pay Google so Google charges you.
I want to know how it compares to the free app for jailbroken phones. I have the jailbreak app on my iPhone and it works about as well as any crappy camera phone video from 3 years ago.
They need get one of these to the guy that married the DS game "Love Plus" character earlier in the year.
@politicalslug Granted 3 is not a good sample size but you can't miss the irony of you saying it's atypical when you, your friend, and the OP all had to replace your 360 at least once.
@x Prime x I think what he was trying to say is they are both downloading at the same speed in the ad. The just ad starts with the ATT further along. So really the ATT guy just started earlier but didn't go any faster.
What Verizon needs to come back with is the much more realistic scenario of someone listening to Pandora while texting while browsing the internet. I can't say that I've ever tried to talk and browse the internet on my iPhone.
I'm glad they ARE NOT on youtube so that I CAN view them from work :P
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
