These work great with Windows 7. The price was $300, not $350 and I bought one in a package deal on newegg in November with Gears of War 2 and a 2200 for $129.
If you have digital cable tuners for your pc these are essential.
And in regards to the codec support...I can play all of my files on extenders by trancoding. I can transcode 1080p mkvs at full resolution on the fly without problems.
If I had more TVs to connect I'd be buying more of these extenders.
I tested the trial version, and it sucks. There's a huge movielive sidebar even after skipping installing it, and it won't play any of my bluray isos now. Looks like a step back to me so far...I'm going back to powerdvd 8.
Are there really people that don't know this?
Damn, I hope we get some wtv support soon. I have a piles of recordings waiting to be cleaned.
Who needs digital copy? I use anydvd, and put the whole bluray on my hard drives.
xvids, and divx both work on the 360 out of the box with windows 7. I'm getting a lot of use out of it already. I have video on my mkvs after installing coreavc, etc but no audio. I have a feeling I'll get the audio working some way soon...

Windows 7 looks like a pretty big upgrade over vista so far.
Game 2 is in 1080i on ABC.
Wow, that's a nice town about 35 minutes from me. I've been thinking about moving....
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
