@lolwhat Don't even joke. There is no font worse than Comic Sans. Ever.
@mikmik111 Serif fonts are better for readability in large bodies of text than sans-serif fonts, which are better for headlines and signage. And I have yet to find the font that does NOT look better when rendered by ATSUI/Core Graphics on Mac OS X.
@(Unverified) Indeed it is... and that's why the higher numbers should have been anticipated.

Microsoft is obviously going to have larger-than-expected sales for the release of a solid operating system following the relative failure that was Vista. This isn't just any ol' routing Windows upgrade... the floodgates holding back the XP users from migrating to a new OS have finally been thrown open, or at least, widened significantly.
LOLcat-speak has made it into product names. Wonderful.
You can't describe the Android developer device as "available", as far as most end users are concerned. It's simply not consumable by the masses.

For one thing, it's $200 more than an iPod Touch, and has only one-eigth the storage capacity out of the box. You can upgrade that to 16GB, but the iPod touch is available with up to 64GB.

Second, there's no support for it. This isn't always a problem for geeks like us, but for the people described in the article, it's a deal breaker.
I think it would be great if the makers of Cydia and other package installer apps would make it possible to set that password at package install time. I'm pretty sure a basic alert is possible already.

I agree that anyone installing SSH should be savvy enough to use the `passwd` command afterwards, but people are forgetful, and there is a worm going around. A reminder/helper during install would go a long way to preventing that.
I'd be interested to see overall internet traffic as well, not just web usage.
The fact that AVCHD is found primarily in consumer-level devices does not make it a consumer-level codec. At high bit-rates (not typically available on consumer devices) it produces an absolutely stunning HD picture, especially in environments where there is a lot of motion or sudden variance in luminosity. This is particularly important to entrepreneurial vidopgraphers, who are often called upon to shoot a lot of sports, party, and dance scenes.
It should fall under "fire damage", which, for any other policy, includes problems caused by smoke as well as heat and flame. AppleCare does not cover fire damage... you will need additional coverage.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
