Just one question: WHY?!?!

HD-quality? What cell phone has a resolution of 1280x720, let alone 1920x1080?!?! Did I miss a product release? Good old "marketing speak"...
Yet another "expansion" excluding a single thing NJ. I think Verizon has been sniffing too much glue lately.

Bottom line is that if you don't live out in the middle of nowhere, don't expect FIOS anytime soon. If there's an area where only two houses can get it, though, Verizon will be there!
You either don't have a compatible receiver (HR20, 21, or 22) or you haven't received the software update yet. While the buttons on the front panel may only go up to 1080i, the software update allows you to select and enable 1080p, assuming you're hooked up via HDMI. My HR21 received the software update several months ago.
But, will they lower your cost when the price of Blu-Ray drops as has already been hinted at by some of the studios? Somehow, I think that's highly unlikely. Prices, much like taxes, never seem to go down, only up. That's the issue I take with this justification.
Note: Obviously--but just in case--my comment was toward the D-BOX, not the Blu-Ray release!
Woah... this sounded really cool until... $5k ?!?! That's some serious dough to be dropping nowadays.
No update, but I still came home to an unresponsive HR21-700 (still playing live TV, mind you) and had to reboot. Missed House and the first few minutes of Fringe as a result. HD-PVR here I come!!!!
Am I the only one who first read the name as "mediocre"? I'm guessing it's anything but mediocre, but still... what were they thinking? LOL!
Sorry... need to correct my "311" number above. That consists of ONLY the movie listings. There are quite a bit more (2804 in all) when you include all categories.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
