Don't use anti-virus, and never will. Haven't gotten a virus in years.

Its called common sense people. Don't download suspicious files, and don't click on suspicious links.
Not reading the article, and the updates - LAME.
LOL. Hello bitter fanboy!
Mark up? Why the heck should I have to pay a mark up? If 'they' are looking to replace DVD with Bray, there better not be a mark up at all. Unless of course all of you out there are happier paying more for a product that is similar in quality to what an upconverting DVD player can provide?
Let me guess, you're either really short, or something else is...
Switched to directv months ago, and couldn't be happier. Can't believe how much better the picture is (HD AND SD signals), and can't believe how much better the should quality is as well.

Seriously I don't know WHY ANYONE WOULD STAY WITH COMCAST!

Another vote for the Canon TX-1.

Its cheap.

Takes fantastic pictures.

10x OPTICAL zoom.

Its small.

And takes fantastic 720p video.

The only downside is that taking vids in very low light - not so good.

Said it before, and I'll say it again - Canon TX-1 for under 400 dollars.
I'll stick with my canon TX-1 (under 400 bills) which does hd video using SD cards and takes 7 megapixel stills. Oh and its smaller than the sony.
Oh I don't know how about forcing the studios to publich in BOTH formats to allow the CONSUMER (thats you) to decide which format should win out - instead of being puppets for greedy corporations who in the end will bend you over and withdraw large sums of money before digital downloads take over.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
