- Which one of the MPEG-4 standards does it record? I'd guess AVCHD.
ans: Its AVCHD

- What is the bit-rate of its SuperFine mode?
Its less than 17mbs (megabits per second) more like 11mbs.
The 300 fps is only available in Standard def mode.
I just bought this camera two days ago. After playing with it for hours, i can tell you that to me its nothing but a glorified WEBCAM class camera. IT SUCKS!!!!!!!. The 6.4 million CMOS sensor has lot of noise in low light (reasonable indoor conditions). More than usual in my opinion. There is a kind of smearing effect which you get. I dont know if its the mepg AVC codec or the sensor. Also i get a blur when a shot has pan in it. The images are just not crisp instead are somewhat dull. The LCD display shows false results when it comes to scene exposure or shutter speed (the sene looks really bright on it but when you play it back on your TV or PC its actually darker. Samsung lacks the sophistication of making a consumer high def camcorder. They can learn a thing or two from canon, jvc and sony, as they have been in this business longer than samsung. I even had a long chat with the tech support level2 guys and they cant fig it out. This camera needs a serious firm update or something. A 5 out of 10 rating.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
